The Flex 3R is the thickest closed-cell foam mat on the market, designed for extreme conditions, cold nights and demanding tours. With its 3.1 cm thick foam construction, it is suitable as a stand-alone mat or as an additional layer of insulation and protection under an inflatable mat. The R-value of 2.8 provides reliable basic insulation and protects against abrasive surfaces. The foldable construction enables quick deployment. The high-quality, environmentally friendly IXPE foam is particularly durable, water-resistant and dimensionally stable. EXPED calculates all climate emissions from the production and transportation of this product and finances certified climate protection projects through myclimate to an equal extent. All EXPED textile products are made without intentionally added PFAS since 2025. We work closely with suppliers and perform independent tests to ensure our products contain zero PFAS.
